Your board members and volunteers care about your mission. Turning that commitment into meaningful fundraising involvement takes clear expectations, practical support, and opportunities that fit their strengths.

I work with organizations to help boards and volunteer committees understand their role in fundraising and take action. Together, we build an approach that feels authentic, respects people’s time, and supports your organization’s goals.

What does fundraising engagement look like?

Fundraising includes many ways to contribute: making introductions, inviting someone to an event, sharing a personal connection to the mission, thanking a donor, or joining a conversation about giving.

Some volunteers are ready to ask for support. Others need a starting point and a chance to build confidence. I help you identify meaningful roles for both, with clear next steps and the preparation to follow through.

What we might work on together

Depending on your needs, our work may include:

  • Clarifying fundraising expectations for board members or a development or event committee
  • Recruiting and organizing a volunteer committee around an event, campaign or initiative
  • Helping volunteers identify connections and make thoughtful introductions
  • Developing messages, outreach tools, and talking points volunteers can make their own
  • Preparing board members and volunteers for invitations, donor conversations and asks
  • Creating useful meeting agendas, clear assignments, job descriptions and a manageable follow-up process
  • Strengthening the partnership between volunteers, staff, and organizational leadership

The goal is to make participation purposeful and achievable, so volunteers understand how their contributions move the work forward.

How we’ll work together

We’ll begin with your goals, the people who are or could be involved, and what is working or getting in the way. That might include uncertainty about expectations, discomfort with asking, limited staff capacity or a committee that needs more direction.

From there, we’ll shape a practical engagement plan: who can contribute, what you are asking them to do, and what support they need. I can help facilitate conversations, prepare tools, coach leaders, and establish a rhythm for checking progress.

Support may take the form of a focused training, a committee activation project, or ongoing coaching as your team puts the plan into practice.

Is this the right fit for your organization?

This work may be helpful if your board wants to contribute but needs direction, your development committee needs renewed focus, or you are launching an event or initiative that depends on volunteer leadership.

You bring knowledge of your mission, relationships, and community. I bring fundraising experience and a practical approach to helping people put their commitment into action.
